The How's and Who's of Social Work Support
Not every child needs on-going social work support but may benefit from brief counseling in order to help him or her through a crisis. If you have a concern or want more information about social work support, please call me. Typically, when a parent shares a concern, I will meet with the student to assess what support best meets the needs of the student. This may involve gathering information from the classroom teacher, observing the student in the classroom or meeting with the student individually. It also may be determined that your child's needs would be best met through a small group. Together we can determine what type of support your child needs.
