Types of Social Work Groups

Welcome to the Social Work Scoop! Social and Emotional learning is crucial to a child's development, education and well-being. How a child learns to manage his own emotions, problem solve social situations and build his sense of self impacts his world and those around him.
Some children may experience difficulties, which may interfere with their school functioning. Some children are helped along by simply talking the situation through with a friend or an adult. Others may need more involvement with a social worker through a group and/or individual setting. School-based social work support provides students with the opportunity to learn about himself, cope with difficult situations and increase positive social interactions. |
